Getting There
From PTA take the N1 Northbound to JHB then take N3,then take the N17 springs carry on down the N17 for about 60km one will then come to a T junction just outside Leandra,there you will turn right down the R50 to Standerton, drive
for about 15-20Km the dams turn off will then be on your right, the road will then turn into a dirt road carry on for about 2km you will then see the dam on your left take the 1st gate at the dam.

Conditions
This large dam offers smooth to choppy conditions for flat water riding.The best wind direction is a North west wind as it blows cross shore,Westerly wind will blow cross on and a South Westerly wind blows on-shore.
This kitespot is great and most used spot by the local Inland kiters. On any given windy weekend there are always 20+ kiter’s.
One can also walk out for about 80M and still be able to stand,the launch area is very spacious with no objects.
