Kitespot Description
Wind Direction:SE, S
Best Months:
Dec- April
Conditions:
There is no protection from the Cape Peninsula or the eastern side of False Bay, so the atlantic swell breaks directly onto the beach, which means bigger waves, but they don’t have consistent swells. Although the water is murky, its warm and can offer some great riding on a SE, which is slightly onshore.
Rigging Area:
On the beach
Spot Amenities:
Not a good place to kite on New Years Day with all the crowds that swarm the beaches.
Very crowded on weekends with bathers.
Watch out for the gusts when the black south easter blows.
There is a car guard and Ablutions are available.
